Founded in 1975 by Jack Tirey, Cincinnati Stair is a family-owned company that has been in the business of designing custom staircases, a fine art that has been honed through generations. We work closely with architects, homeowners and builders to design stairs using the finest top hardwoods like American cherry, birch, red oak, maple and Brazilian cherry.

Marc Tirey is the current owner and continues the family legacy to this day. "Building stairs was an offshoot of the roof truss manufacturing business my father had in the '70's in Trenton, Ohio west of Middletown." As the '80's approached, he sold the truss equipment and moved to Cincinnati. He continued to build stairs by going to job sites to sell the job and come back to his 2 car garage to build them. I joined him in 1988, as we stayed persistent with building and expanding the business. As I continue to grow the business into the new millennium we keep our focus on stairs and anything to do with the stair area. Whether it is new construction or remodel/rehab, we find answers to stair problems that no other company wants to deal with. We not only solve them, but do it in a cost effective way.
