Using only the finest woods (American Cherry, Brazilian Cherry, Red Oak, Maple, etc.), our spirals are custom made to fit your needs and specifications. We can also make them out of treated lumber so that you may enjoy a spiral outdoors, perhaps from deck to deck. Our services also include the designing and installation of complete rail systems.
Planning for your Spiral Staircase:
The best time to plan for your new spiral staircase is before the foundation work starts. Keep the following in mind while working with your designer:
- Use as large a spiral stair as possible in the space you are willing to commit.
- Check with your local building inspectors office for any special regulations that may affect the use of a spiral stair for your application.
- Try to visualize the entry and exit points of the stair in your plan. Make adjustments to your floor plan and to the landing platform for the spiral stair to ensure easy access. The time you spend optimizing now will pay big dividends in your stairs convenience and ease of use over the long term.

Cincinnati Stair also offers a solid oak spiral stair in kit form to customers in the Tri-State Area (Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky) so you can pick it up and install it yourself. A lot of our customers get great joy out of this beautiful solid oak conversation piece (almost a piece of furniture) that they actually "built"! Of course, we offer installation for those individuals who don't have the time.
